(|Introduction|)
A site on Alta MinosLocated in the Aldaron system, on the M-class planet Alta Minos, Yeager Colony is a newly formed colony, dedicated mostly to research. Naturally there are civilian colonists, but many of the people living and working there are scientists, all working on scientific problems.

The Aldaron system is close to the Hekaras system, close to the sector which is filled with tetryon fields, which provide a danger to warp-capable ships. The Hekaras corridor is the only safe passage through that sector. This is a perfect place to study the effects that warp and transwarp have on subspace.

Yeager Colony, located at the planet Alta Minos in the Aldaron system, is roughly 30 lightyears away from Cait, the homeworld of the Caitians. The border with the Tholian Assembly is only 25 lightyears away, while the Gorn Hegemony is 80 lightyears off. The closest starbase is 29 lightyears away, which is why Yeager Colony has its own Starfleet compound: Yeager Starbase.

More to come later.

(|The Colony itself|)
The main settlement on Alta Minos is Yeager colony. It is primarily a scientific colony housing up to 3000 people. The colony itself is divided into four quarters and the colony is split in half by a river, the river Hooke. Three bridges span this small river and the banks are a popular spot for many people to go fishing or to have picnics.

North of the river contains the Starbase, landing field and industrial production facilities. Several workshops and an Industrial replicator site is housed here. There are also storage facilities located here. On the Northwest is the Starbase and landing field and on the Northeast is the Industrial complex and storage areas.

South of the Hooke is where the research facilities and residential areas are as well as the entertainment and recreational facilities. On the Southwest side is where the research facilities are housed. These include many testing facilities and the main administration building is located here. The Southeast quarter is by far the largest in the city and is where the residential housing is located. Most of the inhabitants of Yeager colony live here. This is also where most of the restaurants and entertainment facilities can be found. There is also a small holosuite establishment.

There is a road and pedestrian byway network around the colony. A few people use ground transport vehicles, generally these people live furthest from their work place but most tend to walk around. There are a couple of hoppers to transport heavy goods around the colony.

Starfleet maintains a ground defence installation to the North of the colony. This comprises of two type XII phaser arrays and one type 3 rapid fire photon ground system. There is not currently a satellite defence system at Alta Minos and there is only a deflector shield grid surrounding the defence installation. There are currently no plans to upgrade the defensive system of the colony.

When the civilian ship Danthres had to make a crash-landing at Alta Minos at stardate 2395.08.26, they went down in the Algarve desert. Luckily, their ship could be repaired.
