The Alpha shift is from 0800 to 1600, the Beta shift from 1600 to midnight, and the Gamma shift from midnight to 0800. You can use this page to specify in your posts who is heading a particular department at a particular time of the day. Characters with no bios are briefly described on the NPC roster. Alpha shift department heads are the ship's senior staff, and as such may override their counterparts from the other shifts. If you wish to mention a department head whose identity is listed as "unspecified", you may create an NPC to fill that position.
