There are presently 744 crewmembers serving on the USS Calhoun (as of stardate 2393.08.28).
Personnel is split between the seven departments as follows. Science is by far the largest department. Bear in mind these figures must be divided by three (the number of shifts) for an indication of how many personnel are at work in any department at any given moment.
Non-Federation Alpha Quadrant ambassadors and their aides have the right to represent their government in contact situations with Delta Quadrant inhabitants. However, any negotiations, be they diplomatic, economic or otherwise, must be conducted under Federation surpervision.
By order of Captain Sarin, the holodeck safeties cannot be disabled by any personnel without explicit authorisation from the captain. The captain is the only member of the crew whose orders the computer will acknowledge in this matter.
Seatbelts
All seats aboard the Calhoun are equipped with seatbelts, which must imperatively be fastened any time the ship goes to Yellow Alert. Seatbelts are currently being installed on Delta One in all sections adjacent to the hull.
Phasers
The Calhoun's computer is programmed to disrupt and block any phaser on board set at a lever higher than heavy stun. This restriction can be overridden only by a senior officer of the Calhoun, or by any other Starfleet officer ranked above captain.
Medea's (Ten Forward)
Ten Forward aboard the Calhoun has been entirely redesigned, and renamed "Medea's", by female Orion barkeep Medea (formerly played by Loren Tivoli).
The room's furniture has been moved to give Ten Forward a more circular design. The tables have been replaced by antique ones, and the bulkheads covered in wood panelling, to give the place "the air and comfort of an old inn". The lighting appears to be in the form of antique gas lamps, but only in appearance.
The bar is of massive, ornately carved wood, from a single hewn piece of Jyark wood (from Qo'noS).
Holo-emitters have been installed to enable the use of holographic staff to assist Medea and her two Hupryian attendants, Brok and Fjorn.
Cheap artwork by Medea herself adorns the walls, and outside Ten Forwrd is a wooden sign which says "Medea's".
