(Registry NCC-78546)  [ Main - Personnel - Decks - Story - Other ]   » LCARS » Transwarp shuttles Starfleet's transwarp shuttles Once the USS Calhoun had succesfully completed its first transwarp flight, Starfleet began building shuttles equipped with transwarp drives, to maintain contact with the Calhoun and Delta One. The first of these shuttles ferried Ensign Torin to the Calhoun to serve as an additional engineering officer. So far, ten transwarp shuttles have been built. They are named after member planets of the Federation. One is kept in the Calhoun's shuttle bays: - the USS Earth The others are stationed at Starfleet Headquarters and the other dutystations of the Frontier Fleet. These shuttles are all Arrow-class.   π
