Summary:

- 2393.01.08

Accompanied by the young Acebi girl Idis, the Away Team managed to find the mission control room, from where they would be able to contact the Borhyas in orbit. Their presence did not go unnoticed, however, for a few dozen Adjudicators were sent after them. Having escaped the Adjudicators temporarily, the Away Team barricaded the two entrances to the mission control room, while Lieutenant Montgomery attempted to modify the transmitter to send a signal to the Borhyas.

The Adjudicators quickly found out where the Away Team had taken refuge, and started to try to break through the doors to gain entrance. The hastily constructed barricades did not hold, and it didn't take long before two members of the Away Team were incapacitated by the Adjudicators' stun weapons. The Away Team was trapped, and all they could do now was to wait for the transmitter to rotate into position. Montgomery managed to send the signal just before the Adjudicators surrounded the team members, but the transmitter wasn't in position yet. Unable to send the signal again, the Away Team's only hope is that the Borhyas has received the signal after all and beams up the Away Team members.

On the Atlantis, Ensign Sh'lin was talking to Lieutenant Andersson when two crewmen fell ill after eating too many tacos in a taco eating contest earlier that day. She quickly contacted AOPS Ensign Westin and ASTC Ensign Travis to make sure the Bridge consoles were manned.

Captain Torn discussed the matter of Glitch with some of his officers, after which Lieutenant Jomorr went on to discuss the matter in more detail with the new ACSO, Ensign Sorek. Captain Torn, meanwhile, had other business to attend to: Sickbay had been unable to save an engineering officer, and Torn was talking to Ensign Conners, who felt miserable about it.
