USS Atlantis Status Report
2005

While in last year's status report, the episodes were called 'missions', the consensus these days is to call them 'episodes'. So 'episodes' they are. In early 2005, episode 3 was nearly over, and none of us had any idea yet that we would end 2005 with the crew trapped in a nebula and Captain Torn

Episode 3:
"The Enemy Within"

Hijacked by three crewmen, who turned out to be androids impersonating as crewmembers, the Atlantis is forced to set course to Ogawatchi Prime, where the crew is forced to heal beings known as the "Creators". Unfortunately, these Creators had died a long time ago. The androids' programming does not see the death of the Creators as a possibility, so they conclude that the crew must be lying. They threaten to execute the crew if the crew persists in these lies...

Episode 4:
"Ghost Ship"

Investigating a derelict vessel at drift, the crew of the Atlantis find out that the vessel is not as deserted as it seemed to be. Walls appear and disappear at random, screams are heard and security officers die of mysterious causes, only to come to life again moments later to turn against their former crewmates. When Captain Torn sends more crew to the derelict ship to investigate the sudden disappearance of the first team, is he sending most of his officers to their deaths?

Interlude:
"Shore Leave"

When the USS Atlantis is recalled to the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards in orbit of Mars in order to be outfitted with a transwarp drive, the crew finds themselves without a job for several months. But even in this time of rest and relaxation, the crewmembers of the Atlantis manage to get themselves into trouble one way or another.

Episode 5: FleetWide Mission:
"Torn Away"

Transwarp: a revolutionary new means of propulsion. It enables the newly formed Frontier Fleet, of which the Atlantis is a part, to explore new areas of space that were previously out of reach. But when the Captains and the fleet command team of this Frontier Fleet is abducted, it becomes clear that to some, the transwarp drive is no engine -- it is a weapon. Having just lost their Captain, the crew of the Atlantis is unable to start a search before the ship is attacked by energy weapons emerging from dozens of subspace rifts, which seem to appear out of thin air. The Atlantis seeks shelter inside a subspace distortion nebula, but Dominion ships appear and threaten to destroy the Starfleet vessel if it doesn't immediately leave. Faced with the subspace rifts outside and the Dominion inside the nebula, can Commander Velden and the rest of the crew escape with their ship intact, or will there ultimately be no ship for Captain Torn to return to?

Legend:
Post = Number of players who posted at least once in a specific month.
NonP = Number of players who didn't post in that month.
Tot. = Number of players on the Atlantis in that month.
PC = Number of PC posts that month.
S/NPC= Number of SPC or NPC posts that month.
JP = Number of joint posts that month.
Avrg.= Average per player per month. What this means is that, for instance, in january 2005, the average Atlantis player posted an average of 5.25 posts. In the whole of 2005, an average Atlantis poster would have posted 5.41 posts each month. Is it obvious I like useless statistical trivia? :P
