He nodded and took a deep breath. This was it -- it was all or nothing. "Here goes," he whispered.
He pulled the lever.
One by one, the lights, consoles and every other active system on the station shut down, leaving behind nothing but dark rooms, corridors and inactive systems. Pandora Station was plunged into a pitch-black darkness.
"That should do it," Mphilo said after a few seconds. "Initiating restart." He set the lever back in its original position, and almost immediately after that, the sound of systems activating was heard again. Power was flowing to the main computer. One by one, but slower this time, the consoles and lights all over the station were activated.
