Physical Appearance
Admiral Khatibi is a middle-aged woman, with greying, dark brown hair, and of Persian ethnic background. Her bearing and appearance reflect her personality; she is a calm, dignified woman, who keeps her appearance tidy and formal, but with an underlying touch of warmth and caring.

History
Born in Bandar Abbas, Iran, Earth, on April 2nd, 2336, Farah was the second of two children, the elder also being a girl. She proved a bright, curious child, seemingly interested in everything. She studied Science at Qom University, specialising in biology, and married a fellow student while in the final year of her thesis.

After trying her hand at teaching, she eventually decided to attend Starfleet Academy, entering the Academy in 2364, at the age of 28. She graduated, and was assigned to the USS Compassion as a junior science officer. In 2378, at the age of 42 and shortly after the end of the Dominion War, she received captaincy of her own starship, the USS Bold, a small science vessel.

She served as captain for eleven years, then was promoted into the “office” ranks of Starfleet, and was eventually tasked with overseeing the operation of the transwarp-equipped Frontier Fleet, in 2392.

In terms of personal history, she and her husband, Hamed, separated amicably in 2390. They have three children, Saeid, Ebrahim and Jamileh, aged 29, 28 and 26 respectively.

Psychological Profile
Admiral Khatibi is a calm, cool-headed woman, and a trained diplomat. She is polite and respectful when discussing any matter, but knows how to be firm. Always willing to listen to advice, she nonetheless knows how to make up her own mind. Highly intelligent, educated and quick-minded, she was considered an ideal choice for the responsibilities of an admiral.

Khatibi is an open-minded woman, still driven by the curiosity that characterised her as a child. She firmly believes in Starfleet’s mission of peaceful exploration, and is a determined advocate of diplomacy, considering that any use of force is almost a failure on Starfleet’s part, and on her part if she was at all involved.

She is a very neat, tidy woman, keeping her hair and uniform both perfectly tidy, and her quarters spotlessly ordered. She has a tendency to put things back in place if they look out of place, a tendency she has, by necessity as a diplomat, learned to control.

Specialties and Skills
A scientist by training, Khatibi is also an accomplished diplomat.

Hobbies and Interests
Reading. Philosophy. Keeping a personal journal in which she records all her thoughts and musings.

Her sister, Leila, has a farm on Alpha Centauri, and Farah likes to visit and help tend to the farm when she wants to get away from her responsibilities for a short while.

Notes
Admiral Khatibi is an NPC. Any CO may make use of her to some extent, but please bear in mind her personality as described above.

Her aide is Commander Saja Linntos, a Betazoid woman with short-cut, dirty blond hair and the customary Betazoid dark eyes. She can also be used briefly in posts as an NPC. She is helpful, friendly and efficient, but, like Admiral Khatibi herself, knows how to be firm and decisive when necessary.
