Alc'Traz is located in UFP territory, but the Prime Directive forbids access to it. The Trazzers, which is the name for the planet's inhabitants, live in an industrial society and have several sattelites deployed around the planet. Trazzers are not friendly to 'intruders', because they are scared of 'alien invasions'.
On 2390.09.26 a team of scientists crash-landed on Alc'Traz. One of them
encountered a group of Trazzers and was locked up, because he was dangerous alien. Another survivor of the crash stayed in hiding. The two survivors were rescued by the crew of the USS Odyssey. The away-team that went to the surface had plastic surgery to look like Trazzers.
This planet, also known unofficially as Cardassia Second, is located in the Delta Quadrant. It is home to a Cardassian settlement, inhabited by the crew of the Covar, a Cardassian warship pulled into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker in 2369. The Cardassians are led by Gul Tovan. The Covar remains functional. The settlement has good relations with the Federation (i.e., with Delta One).
Darennia has pre-warp indigenous inhabitants. Most of them remain unaware of alien life, but those close to the Cardassian settlement have (mostly amicable) contacts with the Cardassians. Tovan has embarked on a project to "civilise" the indigenous Darennians, providing them with a Cardassian education, and Cardassian knowledge, clothing and technology. The Federation frowns upon this disruption of indigenous lifestyles, which rests on a colonialist assumption of Cardassian superiority, but has not attempted to halt it, particularly since the Cardassians are not using physical violence. (As Tovan said to Captain Su, "This is not Bajor.")
Dinwor V
Canon established by: USS Odyssey
Dinwor V is a planet not far from Deep Space Nine. The inhabitants of this planet, the Jerwasi, frequently host a music festival on their planet. During the festival on 2391.06.19 and 2391.06.20, crew from the USS Odyssey participated in the festival. They had the under cover mission to protect a Cardassian from the Bajoran faction "Dah Ebom".
Draysius IV
Canon established by: USS Atlantis
Also known as Draysius Prime, Draysius IV is a planet near the Gamma Quadrant end of the Bajoran wormhole, less than three hours travel time (at an unspecified warp factor). The Atlantis' first mission to the Gamma Quadrant was a diplomatic mission to Draysius IV to consider a petition for Federation membership by the Draysian government. The mission eneded in failure when the Draysian government, in an apparent attempt to force Federation support, attempted to kidnap the diplomatic team.
The Draysian government is involved in a protracted war with the Torsoians, system of origin unknown. Evidence suggests that no quarter is asked nor given in this conflict. A Torsoian vessel was bombarding the Capital City of Draysius IV from orbit until being destroyed by the Draysian ship Cricket.
Emyn III
Canon established by: USS Odyssey
Emyn III is a backwater UFP planet, not far from the Normanian Nebula. Emyn III has a beautiful landscape of hills. In 2391 Commander Logix appeared here after the destruction of Delta One created a time-paradox .
Furewardo Afutso
Canon established by: USS Atlantis
The Furewardo Afutso of the Gamma Quadrant are ruled by their Emperor who controls the Sphere of Influence. Each Furewardo Afutso belongs to a House, the Houses form the Advisors to the Emperor and vie with each other for power and influence. The Imperial Sphere is expanding as the Furewardo Afutso expand their borders following the defeat of the Dominion. The Emperor is refered to as "The Light" and all ranks are based on this concept.
A proud species with a strict Naval tradition and hierarchy, the space vessels of the Furewardo Afutso distinctly show their species' aquatic naval influence. Disruptors are mounted on turrets along the narrow hulls of their ships. Some of the Space Navy vessels are equiped with cloaking devices.
Diplomatic relations were not established, however the actions of the Atlantis to defend a Furewardo Afutso merchant ship were noted with approval. A Federation team was sent to the Sphere to negotiate a possible treaty.
Lynand VI
Canon established by: USS Calhoun
Lynand VI is a planet situated in neutral space, close to the Federation border. It is a pre-warp world; contact is forbidden by the Prime Directive.
Lynand VI culturally diverse world, inhabited by a single sentient
species, scattered in multiple societies. There is no plantetary government.
Lynander societies have various levels of technological development; the most advanced have embarked in the early stages of industrialisation, while others are isolated and have stone age technology. The beginnings of space exploration are deemed to be centuries away.
In June 2394, a Borg scoutship crashed on the planet, giving one Lynander society its first knowledge of alien life. The Borg designate Lynanders as Species 11217.
Lynanders are humanoids, and have a tail.
New Amsterdam colony
Canon established by: USS Odyssey and USS Valkyrie
Approximately 75 light years from Bajor, close to the Ferengi border lies the New Amsterdam Colony. Though originally a terran colony, it has now become the home to a large population of Betazoid colonists, Bajorans, and various other species as well. When in 2391 a group of Cardassian refugees arrived on the planet to settle, tensions rose between the Bajoran settlement and the Cardassian refugee camp.
On 2391.01.24 there was a major earthquake and both the USS Valkyrie and Odyssey were sent to New Amsterdam colony. During rescue operations, some of the Valkyrie crew became missing. Four Valkyrie officers found their death in collapsing caves. The city of Vrijheid, which was in danger of flooding by a fracturing dam, was protected by a giant shield generator. When the dam broke, the forcefield held and the water was then drained away by making a path for it with phaserfire from orbit.
The Valkyrie returned to the colony on 2392.04.25, to provide supplies. In orbit they were surrounded by subspace rifts, cause by the transwarp aliens. This crippled the Valkyrie's systems and an Orion raider took advantage of that.

Pabloias Prime
Canon established by: USS Odyssey
Pabloias Prime is a planet situated close to the Federation border. The Pabloyans joined the Federation in 2391. During that year large deposits' of the metal Gyranzite were found on Pabloias Prime, which the Federation wanted to be mined. However, a rebel faction (enforced by the Breen) was sabotaging mining efforts. The USS Odyssey was sent to this planet and arrived on Stardate 2391.03.20.
Starfleet Captain Bennek and his company were taken captive by the rebels during negotiations. However, by effort of Commander Denebris the negotiations could resume and bring the rebels and government closer together. After a close stand-off the Breen were fought away and an agreement was signed to give the rebel faction a share of the mining profits.
Pabloyans are humanoids, exceptionally tall and have orange skin.
Pharma V
Canon established by: USS Calhoun
This planet in the Delta Quadrant belongs to the Northok. Under Northok law, criminals are stranded in the planet's vast deserts of sand dunes, with minimal rations and a single spear each. The prisoners must fend for themselves in a landscape with no food, no water, the crushing heat of the sun beating down upon them, and half-starved fellow prisoners attacking them for their meagre rations.
The planet is defended by a network of satellites which prevent approach and transport.
The Federation's relations with the Northok are poor, due to Federation citizens (most of them Starfleet personnel) having been sentenced to Pharma V by the Northok, and retrieved illegally by Starfleet.
The location of the Northok homeworld is not known, but it is not Pharma V, which is exclusively a prison world.
Phi Omega IV
Canon established by: USS Odyssey
Phi Omega IV is a planet outside of Federation space, far from other star systems. It has a rich wildlife, which was studied on 2391.04.14 by the USS Odyssey.
During this expedition Nurse Alvas Kylie was bitten by an exotic frog, which injected a foreign substance into her bloodstream. After a race against time to get back to Federation space, she could be cured on the USS Caduceus.
Rej
Canon established by: USS Calhoun
Rej is a world presumed to be in the Delta Quadrant, although its location is unknown. Its people, the Rejtan, chose isolation centuries ago by cloaking the planet. The Rejtan are technologically advanced, to the extent that they can transport directly between planets, over unspecified distances.
The appearance of the Rejtan is unknown; the image they project is a reflection of the species of the person watching.
The Federation has only ever encountered one Rejtan, who initiated contact by appearing aboard the starship Calhoun. Although he stated that the Rejtan have no individual names, he suggested that the crew call him "Ietyon"; the meaning of that designation was not revealed. Contact was initiated because a Borg scoutship had crashed on Rej, and the Rejtan wished outsiders to decide on the fate of the ship's sole occupant. Several Starfleet officers were consequently transported to Rej, with their consent.
What they saw was undoubtedly an illusion. They found themselves in "a large room, its walls a gleaming pale green. There was a soft sound of running water, and [...] a fountain in the centre of the room. [...] The air was fresh and faintly sweet. There was a pair of large doors in one wall; the other walls were lined with long, vertical windows, but nothing could be seen through them but whiteness." They were never allowed outside the building, and never able to see what might lie outside (if anything), other than whiteness. They met no Rejtan other than Ietyon, who made it clear that his people were not interested in establishing relations with the Federation. There have been no subsequent contacts.
Ietyon told the crew that the Rejtan had had no prior contact with the Borg. Although the Borg are now presumably aware of Rej's existence, Ietyon expressed confidence that Borg sensors would be unable to pierce the planetary cloak. Whether or not the Borg are aware of the planet's approximate location is unknown.
T'Met
Canon established by: USS Odyssey
T'Met is a planet in the Romulan Star Empire close the Neutral Zone. The planet has many mining facilities where Romulans are forced to mine dilithium for the Romulan Fleet.
On 2392.07.07 a group of Romulans tried to flee to Federation Space in an old freight carrier. The USS Odyssey encountered them in the Neutral Zone, and despite the interference of a Romulan War Bird, the fugitives were taken aboard the Odyssey.
Tarakana II
Canon established by: USS Odyssey
About Tarakana II
Tarakana II is a small M-class planet, located between the Ferengi alliance and the Tzenkethi empire. The population has grown to about 2 billion. The Tarakanans are a potential candidate to join the UFP. At the moment, the Tarakanans have a trade agreement with the Federation, as well as an agreement to exchange diplomatic ambassadors. So far, only a couple of Federation ambassadors have visited the planet. In return, there also haven't been a lot of Tarakanans who left their planet to see what life is like in the Federation.
Contact with the Ferengi consists mostly of several trade agreements, although it is being said that the Tarakanans aren't all that satisfied with the Ferengi way of conducting business. That is probably why they chose to contact the Federation in the first place. Contact with the Tzenkethi is virtually non-existant: there is a treaty of non-agression, but that's about it.
Tarakanan Psychology
The most striking aspect of the Tarakanans, is their ability to change colour, depending how they feel. Not a lot is known about this ability, but it seems to be related to their emotional well-being. Aside for this amazing ability, the Tarakanans seem to be having lots of wrinkles: not just the old ones. Even the babies are born with wrinkles on their faces. It is not yet clear what kind of evolutionary purpose these wrinkles had in Tarakanan history.
Tarakanan Lifestyle and Technology
The Tarakanan lifestyle is much the same as the Federations, except for a few differences. In this case the Tarakanans have transporters available but has deemed the technology unstable for transport of humanoids and have settled for use on transporting cargo.
The architectural stance of the planet is very different to that of the Federation. Their society enjoys their art and they are not overly fond of straight lines. Instead of their homes being the traditional box shape, they are curved with running arcs and spherical in design with domes for roofs. The insides are just as elegant as the designs outside, with their main support beams proudly on display.
Their technology itself reflects in their design of starships and buildings, by having controlled sweeps and being art pieces in there own right.
Tyks
Canon established by: Adrien Rodd
A neutral world located close to Federation and Romulan space. Its inhabitants are the Tyksonians, a peaceful, warp-capable, community-oriented species with defining cultural particularities. There is no planetary government.
Seralis IV is located near the Klingon border. On 2393.05.12 the USS Odyssey and IKS Kovor surveyed an archaeological digsite on the planet. Both away-teams were kidnapped by Orion pirates, that wished to seed distrust between the Klingons and the Federation.
Sitol system
Canon established by Pandora Station
The Sitol system is on the edge of the Din'ghes nebula, on the opposite side of the Pandora system.
Two planets in the Sitol system are inhabited, both by pre-warp civilisations.
The Mirogians on Sitol IV, and the Kyl'haru on Sitol V. Both civilisations have been studied by Federation anthropologists, but not much is known about the species' histories.
First Contact was also made in the Sitol system with the Kioshians, a species originating from another galaxy, but their relation to the Sitol system is unknown.
Jhacheyon
Planet and race created by Kelly Power for the USS Valkyrie.
Jhacheyon (Yah-hay-yon)
Slightly lower gravity world. Jhachayons are tall, very slender beings with skin color ranging from eggshell white to yellow or orange, depending on their land of origin. Their faces are fairly human, but with exaggerated features like very large, perfect teeth (omnivores, but they have great dental practices), thick ears that stick out, and large eyes, but very small noses. They are hairless, and with a slight bit of imagination, they look like skinny bald nerd-monkeys. I mean, they're marrying the Ferengi, they've got to look dorky.
Race name name preference depends on which of the seven continents they come from. They don't like to be generalized as Jhachyons. The seven continents from largest to smallest are: Baas, Pechaya, Bilmon, Raroch, Septa, Kikla, and Geas.
Baas is a large rocky landmass filled with mountains, glaciers, bogs and desserts. It has the least population centers, while it's neighbor, Pechaya, is covered with cities and industry. It has been one of the most powerful political and cultural leaders, as well, along with Kikla as a close second. Lots of science and technological development is in Kikla. It's like their version of Japan in a way.
Bilmon would be the paradise continent, largely made up of tropical island clusters at the equator, and has many popular vacation spots.
Raroc is the northern most continent and also the coldest. Septa is in the southern hemisphere. Septans are typically the most aggressive. They were among the most supportive of joining the federation in the war, as were the Pechayans.
Geas was always the most supportive of the decision to move to the Ferengi alliance, even before the planet joined the federation.
The High minister's name is Jaka-Tep Rem3-Ton'Baas
Jaka is his given name, Tep is his family name. Rem means he holds a Doctorate in the Medical Arts, which is the highest of his three degrees. Ton'Baas, means he comes from the continent Baas.
By the planets culture, it is only necessary to address someone by their full name upon first meeting. It recognizes that you are acknowledging this persons origin and class. If the person decides to be friendly, he or she will prefer you call them simply by their given name. An elected tittle like High minister, isn't as important as one earned by education, so it is not included in their names.
Education is the foundation of their class structure. Jaka was a medical doctor in Baas before he became involved in politics. He holds degrees in law and sociology, as well as his medical doctorate.
His election was recent, and he is viewed as a bit of a controversial, leader bringing unprecedented, but welcome changes to the planet. The last High minister's policies were more about the attitudes that were needed in a time of war. As his second ten-year term came to an end, her was very unpopular, and a breath of fresh air was needed. Sound familiar? This is meant to distantly mirror the recent Obama campaign in a way. To me, Trek has a responsibility to at least in some way recognize current affairs and such things. This is just my own attempt.
This new High minister is the first Baasan to be elected into office.
Their society has become far too militaristic for their liking since the war, and want a way of life more understandable to them. They like numbers, and balances they can understand, this means a complex economical system the Ferengi will provide.
Zoldur IV
Canon established by: USS Odyssey
Zoldur IV was home to a civilization of at least 12.000 years old. Starfleet has established Outpost Gamma 47 on the planet to archaeologically investigate the ruins.
On 2390.0 the USS Odyssey was sent to Zoldur to investigate why Starfleet hadn't been able to contact any archaeologists on the planet. An away team found 25 survivors, hiding in a cave after deadly energy being had been sighted. The survivors and crew were beamed back to the Odyssey, but then several crewmembers became possessed by the evil energy beings. FO Janssens, who was under influence of an evil being, was saved by a "good" creature. On Zoldur there are thus good and evil energy beings. Since then the Outpost has been deserted.
