(|Race For Asteroid Terminated|)
Admiral Karna, Commandant of the Academy, was informed that an asteroid from the asteroid belt was slowly moving out of its place. Starfleet Science calculated that it was on a course towards Jupiter and would eventually hit Jupiter Station. Fortunately it was not moving very fast. The predictions were that the impact would be in two weeks. So Starfleet and Admiral Karna were not in a hurry.

Val gave Instructor Jaune the possibility to send a group of cadets to destroy the asteroid. She assembled two teams of Security/Tactical specialised Cadets and made it into a challenge. Two shuttles, equipped with each two tricobalt torpedoes and modified shields and phasers were going to race for the asteroid. Firing on their opponents would not damage them, but only slow them down.

Cadets Karol Underhill, Darksage and King Cold were 'Team Tiberius' and 'Team Augustus' was formed by Yarel, Fizban and Napolean Patton. The Cadets Yarel and Underhill will be in Command. Instructor Rooms and Jaune were present as observers.

Unfortunately the race had to be terminated when it was half-way. The phaser-fire seemed not correctly reconfigured. After a lot of shots from Cadet Darksage and Fizban, the shields were starting to weaken. It would have been dangerous to continue.

However the Cadets maneuvered the Shuttles in a safe range of the asteroid. Each Shuttle fired one tri-cobalt torpedo on it and with a big firework the mission ended.

Cadet Yarel, Darksage, Cold and Patton are already promoted to Ensign and are divided over several dutystations of our Fleet by now.
