Recently a new dutys tation has opened in Star Trek: Frontier Fleet, namely Pandora Station.
Pandora Station used to be a civilian Federation space station, but this changed during the Dominion War. Starfleet needed more starbases to defend the center of Federation territory against Dominion attacks, and Starfleet also needed more repair facilities for ships damaged in battle. In 2374 Pandora Station was equipped with better defensive systems, new computer systems and the docking area was transformed into a repair facility.
When the Dominion war was over, Starfleet remained on Pandora, and the station is now used for research, and also refits of smaller vessels. Most of the time only small refits are done at Pandora, but at the moment the Prometheus class USS Epimetheus is refitted with a transwarp drive.
Also present on the station is a prototype AI. This fully sentient and self-aware program was designed at Jupiter Station to enhance the Federation's ship, base and station computers with a more developed artificial intelligence, and is now being tested on Pandora Station.
