An M-Class planet that is larger than Earth. It is blue speckled with large verdant islands rather than continents. Oan is the home world of the Oani. It is called Kappa XI II by Humans. All animal life on the planet, including the Oani were killed by a cloud-like entity that called itself Wanderer. (ENT: Surak's Soul by J.M. Dillard)

Omicron Ceti III
There were once 150 men women and children at a colony on Omicron Ceti III. Elias Sandoval was the colony leader. It took them a year to travel from Earth. The colony was intended as an agricultural colony. Omicron Ceti III is an ideal agricultural planet. The soil grows anything they plant in it. The planet has a moderate climate, and moderate rains all year round. As of Stardate 3417.3, they had been exposed to the bertold rays emitted by the sun for three years. At the intensity detected by Enterprise the settlement would be safe for a week if necessary. There are three settlements on the planet. There were forty-five in Sandoval's settlement. They felt that three groups would have a better chance for growth. If disease struck one group, the others would be less likely to become infected. The colonists had a philosophy of a return to the simple life. They had few mechanical things. They had no vehicles or weapons. There were no animals on the colony. The records said they brought some, but apparently, none survived. Although they should have been dead, when Dr. McCoy examined them the colonists had textbook medical responses. For an agricultural colony, they actually have very little acreage planted. There was enough to sustain the colony, but very little more. Starfleet Command ordered the evacuation of the colony, and the U.S.S. Enterprise was ordered to take the colonists to Starbase 27. The colonists refused to leave. On Omicron Ceti III there is a flowering plant that ejects spores, called a pod plant. It didn't hurt the colonists, but it hurt Spock, presumably because of his Vulcan nature. After Dr. McCoy became infected, he beamed up 100 pod plants to the ship. The spores spread through the ventilation system, infecting the entire crew, who mutinied and deserted to the colony. Kirk discovered that strong, or violent emotions counteract the spores. Kirk and Spock rigged a subsonic transmitter to irritate the crew on the surface, until they got angry, and lost the spores. Once free of the effects, the colonists agreed to be evacuated. After the spores left, the colonists still had perfect health. (TOS: This Side of Paradise)

Organia
Organia is inhabited by the Organians. Starfleet Command ordered the U.S.S. Enterprise to Organia on Stardate 3198.4 to take whatever steps are necessary to prevent the Klingons from using it as a base. Organia was the only M-class planet in the disputed area. (TOS: Errand of Mercy)
The planet Organia is located in the Beta Quadrant. (Star Trek Star Charts by Geoffrey Mandel)
