 | Lavinius V | |
|---|
|
|---|
Two hundred years ago, Lavinius V was swept by mass insanity. It was one of several civilizations to be destroyed in a pattern that began in the Beta Portolan system and continued to Theta Cyngi XII and Ingraham B. There was no medical or scientific cause for what happened on those planets. Stardate 3287.2, the cause was determined: neural parasites that inflicted intense pain on humanoids. The parasites were destroyed at the last planet they attacked, Deneva. (TOS: Operation -- Annihilate!)

 | Lazon II | |
|---|
|
|---|
There is a Cardassian labor camp on Lazon II. It is a desolate world and the vast majority of it is uninhabitable. One section has been terraformed, and that is where the camp is located. It holds 50-60 prisoners. The mortality rate is high. The planet is rich in deutronium ore. The processed ore was fuel for Cardassian weapons systems and vessels, however the technology that used the fuel has become obsolete. Now, there is little demand for the ore, but prisoners are still forced to mine it. Twin towers form a defense grid/forcefield that covered the compound. Also equipped with pulse-blasters capable of damaging vessels severely. Also has a sensor scrambler, which prevented any kind of transport. (ST: TNG: Triangle: Imzadi II by Peter David)
