Spock points out Ingraham B on a monitor.Ingraham B was swept by mass insanity. It was the last civilization to be destroyed in a pattern that began in the Beta Portolan system, and also destroyed Lavinius V and Theta Cyngi XII. There was no medical or scientific cause for what happened on those planets. Stardate 3287.2, the cause was determined: neural parasites that inflicted intense pain on humanoids. The parasites were destroyed at the last planet they attacked, Deneva. (TOS: Operation -- Annihilate!)

Home world of the Invernians. This planet is occasionally subjected to massive ionic storms. The effects of the storms can be fatal, but can be treated with a simple herb that grows all over the planet. (DS9: Melora)
