A distress signal used on Earth. On Stardate 2713, the U.S.S. Enterprise picked up an S.O.S. hundreds of light years from Earth, which led them to a duplicate Earth. (TOS: Miri)

A Morse-code distress signal. The U.S.S. Voyager picked up an S.O.S. on an AM Radio frequency on a 1936 Ford truck that they found floating in space. They traced the S.O.S. the Amelia Earhart's airplane on a planet in the Delta Quadrant. A fusion-based generator of Briori design supplied the power for the S.O.S. It was preserved in this fashion by the descendents of the humans that the Briori abducted from Earth in 1937. (VOY: The 37's)

Julian Bashir mistook a preganglionic fiber for a postganglionic nerve during the oral section of the Starfleet Medical final exam. Had he not made the error, he would have been valedictorian, but instead he was salutatorian. The Stone of J'kah is given to those who visit the Vulcan retreat P'Jem as a gesture of salutation. The Stone of J'kah represents the foundation of all they believe - a life of order and control through logic. When the stone is given, the Vulcan elder repeats a traditional litany passed down through the generations, "Ishtaya kulah vestal ma etak J'kah." Stukas are German dive-bombers. They were fitted with sirens to frighten the enemy during an attack. They fire 7.9-millimeter rounds. In an alternate timeline, these planes tried to intercept the Enterprise NX-01 as it approached Vosk's compound. Vosk upgraded them with plasma cannons. (ENT: Storm Front, Part II)
