Rylie Tir has returned on board to reassume command of her ship, while the bulk of its crew is still on shoreleave. Meanwhile, on the planet surface, Martin Miller's condition has stabilized, but his brother Paul sees little future in remaining arrested, turning the medical facility into a hostage situation. In the middle of this quiet period -at least aboard the Valk- some new crew members arrive, having been assigned to a ship that they will remember for the rest of their lives...   π
