(|Status Report|)
Upon Captain Bren's resignation from Starfleet, Lt. Cmdr Su assumed command of Delta One and the USS Calhoun. A transmission from Starfleet Command ordered the crew to send the Calhoun back to Alpha Quadrant space, specifically to the station Deep Space 53, to pick up new crewmembers (including First Officer Logix) and diplomats from alien governments.

Indeed, the Federation has granted neighbouring governments the right to be present on Delta One, under the express condition that they obey Federation and Starfleet rules at all times while in the Delta Quadrant. Thus, diplomatic groups from the Cardassian Union, the Romulan Star Empire, the Klingon Empire, Rigel, Bajor, and several other worlds or empires, flock to DS53 as they await the arrival of the Calhoun. . .

On stardate 2390.10.03, the Calhoun departed from Delta One, beginning her return journey under the command of Lt. Cmdr Harris and Lieutenant Holmes, and with a skeleton crew on board. . .
Most of the crew (including the Captain) remained on Delta One, where they had to face down a small group of saboteurs. . .
