(|<<Evening, 2390.06.29>> to <<Morning, 2390.06.30>>|)
The crew of the USS Arakov has enjoyed quite a leisurely, but occasionally tense first few days (game time) of commission. This month's play centred around the get-together on the Balcony, a surprise command switch, promotions, and a system malfunction.

The month began at a party... Captain Lewald (Jaap Marsman) had organized the get-together as a method of getting to know one another, but was also planning to hand out some promotions to the crew. There was casual small talk, and two new officers showed their faces at this gathering: CSO Giellun Maiek (a Romulan played by Brandon Allard), and OPS Darv'ot (a Klingon played by Vinnie Raposa). As you can guess, the already inebriated crew was not especially pleased to see these two potentially violent races land in their midst.

The brawl was inevitable. After a knife fight between Maiek and Darv'ot, the Captain announced that he was resigning his commission. To take his place as Captain would be the Executive Officer, Rylie Tir (Clare Bradley).

The rest of the night passed uneventfully, and the next morning, the newly promoted Captain finished the pleasurable job of handing out promotions.

However, this occasion was disrupted when the ship shook violently, for the second time in her short life. Once the senior staff reached the bridge, they realized that the ship's systems were going haywire. The disruption was, no doubt, a result of the ship's massive refit to become a science vessel.

At this point in time, the crew is abandoning ship.. Who knows what will await the crew of the newest Frontier Fleet ship in the next month??
