(|Medical Tricorder|)
Tricorders are very accurate with live people, but not so with dead people. Doctors are taught that in their first year of medical school. (DS9: The Passenger)

(|medkit|)
Medical supply modules that are stored in bulk aboard Federation starships for emergency relief missions. (TNG: Preemptive Strike)

(|metabolic catalyst|)
Phlox used a metabolic catalyst to accelerate Captain Archer's immune response to the Klingon virus when they used Archer as a host to quickly make antibodies to the virus. (ENT: Divergence)

(|microcellular scan|)
This scan gives detailed sensor readings of the microscopic functions within living cells. Among other things, this scan can tell a person's age at the time of their death. (ENT: Future Tense; TNG: Genesis)

(|Microcontainment Field|)
Device used to contain dangerous cell samples. (DS9: The Passenger)

(|Microscopic Generator|)
A medical scan reveals the microscopic generator.Microscopic device used by the Kobliad Rao Vantika to store his neural patterns after encoding them as bioelectrical pulses. Vantika placed the device under his nail to transfer his consciousness to Dr. Bashir, then sent the pulses along the glial cells to the brain. (DS9: The Passenger)

(|Microtissue Analysis|)
A microtissue analysis is a medical test used to determine the type of weapon that injured an individual. It normally takes a couple of hours to have results from this test. (DS9: Dramatis Personae)

(|Mimetic Simbiots|)
Hoshi and Phlox with a Mimetic simbiont of Trip.A type of clone created from Lyssarian desert larvae. When implanted with DNA from another species, it replicates that species life cycle at a rapidly accelerated rate. It is born, grows old, and dies in approximately 15 days.
Mimetic simbiots are a closely guarded secret, and few know of their existence. A group of Lyssarian scientists, the Velandran Circle, claimed to have found an enzyme that stopped the rapid aging process. The enzyme is experimental, with very little empirical evidence to suggest that it works. The Lyssarian Prime Conclave has banned the creation of simbiots. Human based simbiots are not as resilient as Lyssarian based simbiots. At the fetal stage, it is sensitive to light. (ENT: Similitude)

(|Mitochondrial scan|)
Medical scan that examines mitochondrion - any of various round or long cellular organelles of most eukaryotes that are found outside the nucleus, produce energy for the cell through cellular respiration, and are rich in fats, proteins, and enzymes.
