It can be used to accelerate the cellular development of DNA fragments to reconstruct DNA sequences. This technique was employed by Dr. Julian Bashir on cells that developed into a clone of Ibudan. During a ruse designed to obtain the location of the Xindi weapon from Degra, Archer told Degra blood worms were used during interrogations and that their secretions acted as a truth serum and makes the prisoners more cooperative, but there was a side effect- sometimes they suppress memories. In fact, Phlox had altered Degra's memory, and implanted Regulan blood worms for effect. (ENT: Stratagem)
