It's that between-missions area that cleans up from a job well done and gets some character development going. Among the loose ends tied up were the reinstatement of LtJG Emile Schofield, who also regains his position as Chief of CONN, and X'ok PaRel, who is reinstated as CSO and Second Officer, with a promotion to Lieutenant.
The Valkyrie experienced two casualties as a result of the mission to Te'har. CONN T'Cal, from a replicater accident, and CSO Fletcher, from the Te'hari plague. We also bid a sad farewell to First Officer Simon Byrne, but were also able to congratulate him on the renewal of his wedding vows with ship's schoolteacher Juanita Byrne. Mr. Byrne has since resigned his commission in Starfleet, and the happy couple and their two children, Carlos and Isabella, were last seen disembarking on Pandora Station. (Jon Hardy will continue to serve on the Valkyrie as Operations Officer LtJG Argl.)
It was also a month for reunions. Ensign J'n'ala Foster was briefly reunited with her adoptive father, Lance Foster, who brought Schofield and PaRel back. Also, a member of Mr. Foster's crew, Falth, was very briefly reunited with his ex-wife, Grytta, who happens to be the manager of Guido's. Finally, Schofield and PaRel were reunited with the women they love, Ensign Anita Alvarez and CMO Brigit MacKenzie respectively.
Ensign Will Masters lost out on a bid to adopt a Te'hari boy whose life he helped save. After much deliberation, it was decided that Makrid Jolin's short-term memory would be wiped and he would be placed with a couple of fellow Te'hari plague survivors.
After spending Christmas and New Years together on Pandora Station, CONN Schofield and Ensign Alvarez made a trip to Earth, where they got married. Accompanying them were 2O PaRel and CMO MacKenzie. No word yet on their activities, except that Mr. PaRel served as best man at the Schofield/Alvarez nuptials.
As of mid-January 2393, the Valkyrie remains docked at Pandora Station awaiting orders.
