(|USS Valkyrie Status Report, December 2006, by Rick Clogston.|)
Locations:
USS Valkyrie - On, and in orbit of, Te'har
Schofield / PaRel - Canok Nor

Summary:
The Valkyrie and its intrepid crew are still dealing with the genetically-engineered plague that is threatening the pre-warp civilization on the planet Te'har. Chief Medical Officer Brigit MacKenzie is leading the combined efforts of the Medical and Science departments in discovering the origins, workings, and cure for the virus. They appear to be close to success, and Captain Denebris, along with the Engineering, Security, and Ops departments, are working on a planet-wide delivery system.

Meanwhile, the search for the missing away team continues. Ensign Masters has arrived near the Federation observation post in one of the Brunhilde's escape pods, along with an infected Te'hari boy. LtJG T'Cal is attempting to make her way there by more low-tech means. LtJG Fletcher is still lost, and is holed up at a farm house with a young Te'hari woman. Both Masters and Fletcher are infected with the virus, but T'Cal appears to be immune.

On space station Canok Nor, the activities of civilians X'ok PaRel and Emile Schofield have caught the attention of the local crime syndicate. Schofield has been running a local bar. He is also putting together a commando unit with the help of a former Starfleet officer named Lance Foster, who has ties to a member of the Valkyrie crew. PaRel has been conducting biological experiments, while also acting as an unofficial doctor for the station, and running sort of a day-care center for local children. They have been taken captive and delivered to an unknown location, where they are being interrogated by a Breen commander.
