(|USS Calhoun Status Report, November 2006, by Adrien Rodd|)
STARDATE: 2393.01.09
[LOCATION: Trapped in orbit around a planet in the Beta Quadrant
EPISODE: #28 (2.02), "Aryna"

While heading into the Gamma Quadrant for a joint scientific expedition with the Cardassian Union, the USS Calhoun finds itself mysteriously translocated in orbit of a Y-class planet in an unexplored sector of the Beta Quadrant. There, they are immediately attacked by half a dozen vessels of varied sizes and origins, apparently in a unorganised, unconcerted assault. The Calhoun attempts to break orbit, but finds itself inexplicably held back.

Rescued by the timely arrival of another Starfleet vessel also in orbit, the USS Courageous, the Calhoun crew lick their wounds and recover. They soon discover, however, that the other ships have been trapped here for many months, and have tossed out all sense of ethics in a desperate attempt to survive. . . including the crew of the Courageous itself.
