SUMMARY After a mission that - while not being successful - cannot be said to have failed, the crew of the Valkyrie - to the happiness of all - have been granted two days shore leave. The vast majority have opted to make use of the surface of New Meade, and have been welcomed by the Varnii who inhabit the planet.   π
