Second Officer's Log: Whilst my own shore leave turned out to be rather uneventful, this has not been the case witha number of officers. I have heard rumours regarding Lieutenants McKenzie and PaRel, and shall find time to speak with them in the not too distant future.
Our CONN position has been filled by Ensign... sorry, Lieutenant Schofield. I congratulate the man, but wonder whether he is yet ready for the demands it will place upon him. Dr McKenzie has been appointed our new Chief Medical Officer, whilst Lieutenant PaRel is now our Chief Science Officer. Again, my congratulations go out to both individuals.
There have also been changes within the command team, and Commander Maiek is now the CO, while Captain Main joins the staff of Fleet Command on Pandora Station. I have been promoted to Lieutenant Commander and remain the Second Officer. This leaves us without an FO, but I trust Starfleet Command will be appointing someone to the position soon.
Our current mission finds us orbiting New Amsterdam Colony, on what has proved to be a rather straightforward mission to provide supplies. I am hoping we will be underway again soon. End log.
