(|Benomite|)
A type of mineral that is not very hard. (VOY: Once Upon a Time)

(|Diamagnetic ore|)
Diamagnetic ore can produce energy readings on sensors from orbit. When the Enterprise NX-01 scanned a Xindi Arboreal colony, they detected energy readings could have been diamagnetic ore. (ENT: The Shipment)

(|Exogenic field|)
The U.S.S. Defiant in orbit of an L-Class planet with an Exogenic field. An Exogenic field is an unstable energy field that can exist around a planet where unstable elements are present in the planet's core. Under certain conditions exogenic fields can cause quantum reactions, producing high levels of hazardous subspace metreon radiation. Such a condition is, for example, the probing of an exogenic field with active sensors. (DS9: The Sound of Her Voice)

(|Gallicite|)
There are gallicite deposits in the Forge on Vulcan. These deposits give off an electrical charge when anything metallic comes in proximity to them. (ENT: Kir'Shara)

(|Garnesite|)
Garnesite is a natural mineral. When shot with a phaser, rocks of garnesite radiate heat. (VOY: Parturition)

(|Hornblende|)
There is a rock on this Gamma Trianguli VI that has an extremely low specific gravity. It contains some uraninite, hornblende, and quartz. It was fragile, and had good cleavage. Spock was able to break it with his hands. He tossed a broken portion away, and it exploded. It was obviously highly unstable. In large quantities it could be a considerable source of power. (TOS: The Apple)

(|Kironide|)
Kironide is a very rare and long lasting source of great power. The planet Platonius is rich in Kironide deposits. The presence of Kironide in the Platonian's food gave them telekinetic abilities. (TOS: Plato's Stepchildren)

(|Lithium crystals|)
A burned and cracked lithium crystal from the U.S.S. Enterprise.Lithium crystals are worth 300 times their weight in diamonds, and thousands of times their weight in gold. They are mined on Rigel XII. (TOS: Mudd's Women)

(|Magnesite|)
The Orion privateer Harrad-Sar claimed he found a planet with large deposits of magnesite. He claimed that he did not have the infrastructure to mine the magnesite. He offered to give Starfleet the location of the planet in exchange for a 10% share and to help establish relations between Starfleet and the Orion syndicare. However, it was a ruse to capture Captain Archer and collect a reward that was out for him. (ENT: Bound)

(|Pergium|)
Pergium was a type of mineral mined on the planet Janus VI. It is used in reactors. (TOS: The Devil in the Dark)

(|Thermosphere|)
The thermosphere is part of some planetary atmospheres. (ENT: Hatchery)

(|Trinimbic interference|)
When this type of interference is present in an atmosphere, it can prevent sensors from getting a clear reading of the surface. It prevents the use of the transporter, and creates turbulence that is too difficult for a shuttlecraft to navigate. (VOY: The 37's)
