The Odyssey crew begins practicing to prepare for the festival; deciding to split into two separate ensembles to better accommodate the varying musical styles of the crew, as the non-musicians begin their investigation into the "Dah Ebom";, the Bajoran militant group.

The preparation for the festival is down to is final stages; the Odyssey groups must perform well enough to get by the initial "qualifying" rounds against many talented professional groups invited by the Jerwasi.
Preparations both public and subtle are made for the arrival of Jerul Revar, the Cardassian keynote speaker who the Dah Ebom are allegedly targeting.
