 | Reman | |
| Playable: No | |

|
Physiology |
|---|
Remans are humanoids, with grey-whitish skin, sunken eyes encased in ridges, long, large pointed ears, flat noses and sharp teeth. Reman men are bald; it is unknown whether women are also.
Remans are highly sensitive to light, prefering darkness or semi-obscurity. They have some telepathic abilities.
It is possible that they are an offshoot of Vulcans, but they may also be a seperate species entirely. |
History |
|---|
Remans' origins are obscure. They are seen as the people of the planet Remus, but it is not known whether they are indigenous inhabitants.
Long enslaved by their Romulan neighbours, Remans served the Romulan Empire as labourers and as soldiers. Reman warriors are reputed, and were instrumental during the Dominion War.
In 2379, Remans attempted to seize power in the Empire, rising up against their oppressors. The Reman rebels' acknowledged leader, a Human known as Shinzon, seized control of Romulus, with the support of some Romulans. Remans then attacked the Federation, an act which led to Shinzon's death at the Battle of the Bassen Rift. Events after that are uncertain. It would seem likely that the Romulans re-asserted control over the Empire; the Remans' fate is unknown. |
Society |
| All Remans seen in canon so far have been slaves or warriors. If there exists a Reman society beyond the slave mines of Remus, nothing is known about it. |
Technology |
| As part of the Romulan Star Empire, Remans make use of Romulan technology. |
