| Deep Space 5 |

In an alternate quantum reality visited by Worf in 2370, DS5 was the object of covert surveillance by the Cardassians, who had programmed the Argus Array to observe the station, as well as other Federation installations.
Deep Space 5 is the Federation starbase nearest to Thallonian space. After the fall of the Thallonian Empire, refugee ships from the area flocked to DS5. In 2373, the USS Enterprise-E, under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, traveled to Deep Space 5 to host a high-level conference on the Thallonian situation. Present at the meeting were Admirals Nechayev and Jellico, Captain Picard, Commander William Riker, Ambassadors Spock and Ryjaan, and former Prince Lord Si Cwan. Contributed by: Bram Peeters

The Botany Bay was a sleeper ship in which the crew was put into suspended animation. The Botany Bay originally carried 84 individuals, but 12 of those malfunctioned, leaving 72, including 30 women. They included Khan Noonien Singh and his followers. Botany Bay was also the name of a penal colony on the shores of Australia. By turning on the lights, the landing party from the U.S.S. Enterprise triggered a mechanism that awoke Khan. (TOS: Space Seed) The ship was launched at the end of the Eugenics Wars that carried Augments including Khan Noonien Singh.
